Featured reviews go into depth about the features and uses of the product. Especially important is why you like it and how you use it that may not be traditional. The reader will learn a lot about the product that is not in the spec sheet. This is a very thoughtful review of the product and tries to answer questions like the following:
Featured reviews should have a minimum of 4 paragraphs and follow the following format:
First paragraph: Introduce the product and give your opinion on it over all (tell them what you are going to tell them)
Middle paragraphs should take on particular topics aligned with the review criteria.
One or more paragraphs on Features that make or break this product (Features that make it stand out, or features that make it less useful)
One or more paragraphs on Durability of the product (does it last forever, where does it break, )
One or more paragraphs on Value of the product (is it worth the costs, does it outperform the competition)
Last Paragraph: Should be a recap of the review (tell them what you told them). It should have a strong statement of your opinion at the end and leave the reader with a clear understanding of the authors recommendation for the product.
Short reviews should be 6+ lines long and focused on what is marginally better or worse about the product.
* Short reviews always start with "I {really like, really don\'t like, recommend, etc} the "product name".
* The middle of a short review has 2-4 reasons it is a {great, bad, etc} product (not the manufacturers specs unless it is something that really sets it apart).
* The end of a short review is always something like "I {do, dont, etc} recommend "product name" for {all kitchens, high end kitchens, all chefs, etc}.
1. Review only equipment that you are personally familiar with in some way. Examples are:
2. Fill in all the fields in the review template.
3. Appropriate language is required. Use language that you would use with a 12 year old, in church, or with your grandmother.
4. Create original content and do not copy content from other sources
5. Each review should have at least 4 complete sentences.
6. Do not use pronouns such at "it", or generic words like "the unit". For example if a review is being written about a refrigerator, use the phrase " the refrigerator" or " the cooler".
7. Each narrative should contain the manufacturer name, model number, and short descriptor at least once so the reader knows the exact equipment being reviewed.
For example:
" I strongly recommend the Vulcan, VULV60N 60" 10 Burner Range with 2 Ovens because of its versatility and durability ...
or
" I do not recommend the Varimixer 20 qt. Planetary Mixer model number VARW20Jbecause the engine has significant quality issues. I\'ve handled returns for these mixers for a number of years and the same issue.....
